During the event, join us by writing inspirational notes in books for our Organization of the Year, REACH! These books will then be distributed to children across Hampton Roads.
The first round of drinks will be covered by Young Philanthropists.
Location: Maker’s Craft Brewery

Why does a motivational letter make a difference?
Motivational letters can provide children with numerous things, one comforting and another is motivation to keep trying even when they are facing challenges. Reading for many children is a struggle, if not a massive hurdle for them to get over. When learning to read and write if it doesn’t come easy, your letter could convince them to keep trying. Children who do not read proficiently by the 3rd grade are 4 times likelier to drop out of school. The book they pick up could help to develop a passion for learning.
“There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.”
Jiddu Krishnamurti
