Sit down with our 2023-2024 tHRive Board Chair, Austin Gregory to hear about his goals for tHRive for the new year and what events we can expect to see. Also hear from our table host, Tom Marsden as he reflects on his time as tHRive Chair. At tHRive Table for 10, we make the reservation and nine young professionals sit down for dinner alongside one business leader. This is a great opportunity to meet other young professionals in the area and spend quality time gaining insight and wisdom from a local business or community leader.

Austin Gregory

Biography: Austin Gregory is the incoming chair of tHRive for the 2023-24 term. Austin currently works for Special Olympics Virginia and is the Director of Development for the Hampton Roads area. In his role, he is a fundraiser and focuses on expanding SOVA programs through corporate partnerships and individual giving.
In 2022, Austin created a young professionals board for Special Olympics Virginia composed of a diverse group of 30 young professionals in the region that are passionate about expanding opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
Austin also works with Lionsbridge FC, and has since its inception in 2017. Lionsbridge FC is a USL2 soccer club on the peninsula that sees thousands of people at its games every summer. In addition to this, Austin is the co-owner of Eat Local 757, a company created during the pandemic to help local restaurants connect to new customers.
Austin relocated to Hampton Roads over six years ago from Roanoke, Virginia. He received his B.S. from Roanoke College and his M.S. in sports management from West Virginia University. Last year, Austin was a part of LEAD757’s Class of 2022 and was a CoVa Biz Next Gen Award honoree.
