At Table for 10, we make the reservation and nine young professionals sit down for dinner alongside one business leader. This is a great opportunity to meet other young professionals in the area and spend quality time gaining insight and wisdom from a local business or community leader.

Biography: Skip Smith develops strategic solutions leading to new developments that benefit our region such as Tech Center in Newport News. He builds community partnerships, aligning diverse stakeholders while working within complex site, regulatory, financial and time constraints. He understands the details of project development and offers timely information critical to making sound investment decisions.
Since joining the company in 1986, Skip has worked in diverse roles including project superintendent, preconstruction manager, business developer, and project executive. His experience provides him with a deep understanding of our customers and their needs in the marketplace. Clients rely on Skip to connect them with the resources that promote successful outcomes based on their goals.
Skip gives back to the community through active participation on the boards of the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula and the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation. He is past president of the Hampton Roads Association of Commercial Real Estate, past chairman of DePaul Health Foundation, and past chairman of the Mary Immaculate Foundation.
