More than 175 young professionals gathered for a great evening at Sheraton Norfolk Waterside in Norfolk on Thursday, July 20 to celebrate tHRive’s second year anniversary.
tHRive celebrators enjoyed food and beverages from the Sheraton and had the opportunity to support the organization and win raffle prizes donated by over 25 local business and entertainment venues. Harvey Lindsay generously sponsored the evening; music and AV were provided by Music Makes You Happy entertainment.
In the past two years, tHRive has grown to more than 1,600 members, hosted over 75 events for young professionals and made a significant impact on the decision makers across the region.
Julia Rust, Chair of tHRive, addressed attendees with words of praise and pride for the strength of connections and successes from two years of collaboration. She believes that the coming years will present tHRive with the opportunity for more community impact. The program will focus on five regional issues for the coming year – public and private transportation, K-12 education, sea level rise, diversifying the economy, and technology-related issues.
tHRive thanks all its members who have made its first two years successful and productive, all of its sponsors, and for the members of the board that have maintained a vision for its collaboration and change.
